Bar Teresa celebrates local & seasonal unique produce, our goal is to be known as a venue you can trust for exceptional quality beverages and the Aperitivo experience. All supported by friendly, welcoming & knowledgeable service.


It is important to us that Bar Teresa supports the local industry and community and commits to using sustainable practices to add value to the surrounding district. We are committed to being sustainably-minded in every way possible and will be supporting other sustainably practicing businesses whenever we can.


At Teresa we will be capturing the essence of the Italian Aperitivo: to come together, open up, have a good conversation, and stimulate the appetite.

We are a small venue with only 25 seats in the bar, please be kind if we are full. We have recently added a further 7 seats in the area where Harvest Deli (RIP) used to be, and some outdoor tables - to extend our total capacity to 44!

If we are at capacity we will ask to add your name to a wait-list. We encourage those on the wait-list to head to another Napier venue for a drink or a bite to eat. We will call when a space for your group is available. Groups of 6 or more are difficult to fit in our space and we appreciate your understanding when it is not possible.

Additionally groups of more than six persons will be charged an 8% surcharge (this will be void should the head-spend surpass $50pp within 90 minutes).

On busy nights we can guarantee walk-ins a seat for 60 minutes (unless specified otherwise upon entry), after which time if you are no longer continuing to purchase drinks/food we will ask you to vacate so we can allow the next group on the wait-list to join us.

A Tribute to Nonna Teresa

The name Teresa was chosen in honour of Andrea’s Nonna who lives back in Sperlonga, Italy. Teresa helped to raise Andrea and instilled his passion for flavors and freshly foraged ingredients. From a very young age, he was leaning over her shoulder learning all he could in the kitchen. It was all because of Teresa that Andrea felt the urge to travel to foreign countries which is where his career took flight.
